Eduardo and Emma’s Longwood Gardens proposal was a truly special afternoon! In the fall, Eduardo and Emma flew up from Florida to Pennsylvania for their portrait session. During their session, Eduardo popped the question to Emma – and she said YES! Our team photographer Jocelyn captured their proposal and some sweet engagement portraits right afterwards, too, all throughout Longwood Gardens. Everything about their session was so special and unique, including Emma’s custom designed ring. It was definitely a beautiful day!
THEIR LOVE STORY
Eduardo and Emma went to high school together but weren’t really friends until college. They bot attended Florida International University and began to grow their relationship there. Emma commented on one of Eduardo’s Instagram posts and they began to DM and chat. Eduardo offered to give her a tour of the campus in real life and shared all of his best tips with her, including his favorite short cuts and places to eat! They ended the tour in the game room, where they played their first game of ping pong together. Emma says she wasn’t even looking for a relationship but theirs progressed naturally as friends. They felt like they’d known each of other forever… and maybe, in a way, they had.
After that tour, Eduardo and Emma soon had their first date at SpecialTea, a cafe in the area. Eduardo remembers being pretty nervous: “I wanted to give a good first-impression, so I studied the menu the previous night. I am glad I did because there were hundreds of possible tea combinations. However, no amount of studying could prepare me for how hot the tea would be.” It was so sweet! During their date, they talked into the evening and played board games at the cafe. This has since become a tradition they still love – and something they do together often.
We loved getting to know Eduardo and Emma during their Longwood Gardens proposal. It was a romantic and special day that we were honored to be a part of!
