Megan and Dan’s wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor in Spring Lake, NJ, was a day filled with love, laughter, and a few surprises. Their journey began in February 2018, thanks to online dating. Megan, a fan of “The Office” and “How I Met Your Mother,” caught Dan’s eye with her profile that mentioned she was “looking for my Jim Halpert.” Dan, with his charming response, confessed he was “more of a Ted Mosby.” Their first date at Teresa’s in Princeton sealed the deal, and almost five years later, Dan proposed in a way Megan will never forget. On December 23, 2022, he surprised her with a Christmas ornament that read, “D & M, engaged 12/23/22,” before getting down on one knee.
Their June wedding day started beautifully, but rain forced their ceremony indoors. The Mill’s elegant indoor space provided a stunning backdrop for their vows. Luckily, the skies cleared just in time for outdoor photos, allowing Megan and Dan to capture some breathtaking moments by the lakeside. The celebration continued with dancing and joy, reflecting the couple’s vibrant personalities and deep connection. Despite the unexpected rain, their wedding was a perfect testament to their love story—one that began with a swipe and led to a lifetime together.
