Beach Engagement Session in Avalon, NJ

We absolutely adore Cheri and Alex. This sweet couple flew out from Seattle to get married on the Jersey shore – something Cheri had dreamed about forever. Before their big day at the Windrift Hotel, Marianne captured their beautiful beach engagement session in Avalon, NJ. Avalon has quickly become a special place to Cheri and Alex. Alex grew up vacationing her and Cheri has definitely fallen in love with the area now, too. When it came time to choose a location for their dream wedding, it seemed like such an obvious choice!

Cheri and Alex’s engagement portraits took place a little bit before sunset along the beach. We had plenty of time to explore the dunes and walk the beach. It was a windy day along the shore, but Alex and Cheri were so happy to be in their favorite place. Cheri chose to wear a fun white sundress, which we always love! Anything to showcase you bring a bride is a great option for your engagement portraits. They also brought along a sweet wooden save-the-date sign and some champagne to enjoy. Beach picnics are always a great idea! Their sweet pup even joined us for some portraits before Alex and Cheri changed outfits.

After their outfit change, the sunset was getting more dramatic. With the glowing light, we captured some beautiful portraits of Alex and Cheri walking along the waterfront. Their sun drenched photos near the end are definitely some of our favorites from the entire session!! So romantic!!

Congratulations again, Cheri and Alex! We loved spending the evening with you for your beach engagement session in Avalon, NJ! It was absolutely gorgeous.
