Beach Wedding at Icona Windrift

Congratulations, Cheri and Alex! Their beautiful fall beach wedding at Icona Windrift was the perfect way to spend a mid-September afternoon. Cheri and Alex always knew that they wanted a wedding and celebration that would fit seamlessly with one of their favorite places: the beach. From the start, their vision was a romantic, not-too-formal, meaningful day with their family and friends. As they began to think about where to host the wedding, Avalon NJ because one of their top choices! Alex grew up vacationing around here and Cheri has come to love the area, too. The Icona Winddrift was quickly picked to host the day and the rest of the planning began!

Cheri and Alex decided to have a sweet first look on the beach before their ceremony. It was just perfect and their little pup got to be there, too! With their first look, we were able to finish many of their portraits, as well as photos with their bridal party and family – all before the ceremony. With a beach wedding day, this is always a great strategy because the light goes down quickly!! Cheri and Alex’s ceremony was held right on the beach, under a gorgeous arbor. It was covered with the most beautiful pastel lavender and white flowers!

Afterwards, it was time to head to the Icona Windrift for their reception. Cheri and Alex leaned into the pastel color scheme with more florals lining the tables for their guests. The light colors brightened up the space at the Icona – the deep blue walls remind us so much of the ocean! Their reception was a great time – lots of laughs and special moments, including Cheri’s dance with her mom. The entire day was so fun – and absolutely perfect for these beach lovers!
